I bought it for its multipurpose ability of being for both hot and cold tea. It is amazing for cold, very convenient. And for hot it has the problem that you can hardly fill it up because otherwise it's too hot to the touch and it's impossible to pour - so the hot element is mostly to let it cool and become ice tea.

I want to get away from using plastic wherever possible. I replaced my plastic tea jugs with these glass ones. The stopper is plastic with a silicone gasket and mesh tea filter basket, but the container is tempered glass, which is nice when you’re using hot water - hot water and plastic are not friends and I’m trying to cut down on my microplastics exposure.
Small foot print, thin and tall, fits well in Western style refrigerators. Fits 1L of liquid. I’ve put 212 F/100 C water in it and it’s no issue. A little warm in the outside to the touch, but no cracks or stress from the boiling water.
I don’t use the tea strainer basket because of the plastic components. I just make the tea in the glass jug, strain the tea leaves with a metal strainer and put the plastic lid on once cooled to minimize microplastic exposure.
A great little jug that hold several servings of drinks in a small footprint.

It was a great teapot overall but the mesh for tea leaves are too high up, can't really let hot water touch it unless the whole pot is filled. It makes sense to have it that high to avoid over brewing, but as said, only a little inconvenience.

This teapot is great for medium to large pots of hot or cold tea.
It’s easy to see yea and water measurements, and easy to clean.
I did make a quilted cozy for hot tea brewing with the hot water dispenser at work , but for home use patience works just as well.
